(opens new window)We are pleased to welcome Sarah Karolski (opens new window), our new part time project manager. Sarah Karolski started this week and it already feels like she is beginning to move slow projects forward. Previously, project management responsibilities were shared between myself, Jenn Di Sano and a designer or developer. This worked for a while but now that we are consistently running 40 or so projects at a time, we end up compromising main university initiatives in preference to client work. This is great for our clients but isn't helping the university as a whole. So we knew we have to bring in someone to help out.

Sarah to the rescue!

Sarah comes to us with a background in communications and library science. She has worked at various libraries and has extensive background on the Web. She also has maintained the social media presence for libraries and understands how important community interaction is. Her background and her energy makes her a perfect fit for the job and the department.

Responsibilities

You will start to notice Sarah being included in almost every project discussion. She is going to be ensuring all of our projects are running smoothly internally and we are getting deliverables back from clients on schedule. Soon all of our clients will be getting emails from her, so be ready.

We are happy to have Sarah on board and we know she is going to make a positive impact not only at the university but more importantly with our students and users.
